Welcome to my website displaying a selection of my Fine Art landscape images and travel images.  
I am a full time professional landscape photographer and writer based in North Yorkshire, England, and I specialise in making panoramic images.

I have  been a professional Biologist for the last twenty years, and I have spent most of my life climbing mountains or travelling to and from mountain ranges, with numerous visits to the European Alps, and mountaineering expeditions to the Peruvian Andes and the Pakistan Karakoram. The mountains and coastline of Scotland and particularly the Hebrides, as well as the Yorkshire coast, provide a constant source of inspiration for my work.

Since 2005, I have worked almost exclusively with the excellent Fotoman 617 panoramic camera, supported by a Mamiya 7II film camera, Lee filters, and of course the brilliant Velvia transparency film.

I have had articles and images published in a variety of climbing, mountaineering and photography magazines and journals, and I have presented illustrated lectures to numerous groups and societies.

I have images exhibited at the Saltbox Gallery, Helmsley, and at the Wolds Gallery, Staxton, North Yorkshire. I also hold private exhibitions regularly, as well as exhibiting my images from the North York Moors National Park at the National Park Visitor's Centre, Danby. Regarding my Fine Art prints, I have a growing number of private collectors and corporate clients. I am also represented by the World Panorama Stock Agency.

I know many people are still a little worried about online sales, and in fact I find it quite impersonal. When I have bought prints from other photographers I have preferred to speak to them in person, so I am quite happy for you to contact me by e mail or by phone.
